    Mechanical Keyboard Help

    ANOTHER KEYBOARD THREAD?!

    Damn straight son.

I'm looking to buy a mechanical keyboard in the near future and would like some recommendations or some thoughts on the ones I've checked out. I've determined that I would like cherry mx black switches as I like the linear feel and reds are too light. I have checked out the CM Quick Fire Rapid (tenkeyless) and the Mionix Zibal 60. Any other good suggestions or has anyone used either of these two keyboards? I don't necessarily need any extras like backlighting or a USB hub (even though the Zibal 60 has both) and wouldn't like to spend too much.

I was looking at that one as well, but was unsure if I would need a number pad since I never really use it. Thanks for the input since the Rapid is probably built just as well as the Pro.

EDIT: It also was a bummer that neither one comes with a wrist rest since I've read it's a bit on the taller side and you'd pretty much need one.

The thing I love about my kb is it's easy to clean, you can change the response timing, and typing on it feels great. I have huge hands so I never bothered with a wrist rest.

check newegg/etc. tomorrow for Cyber Monday deals. probably the best time to buy all year.

bringing a $100-120 keyboard down to ~$70-80 with free shipping is pretty neat.

My "near future" meant somewhere around March of next year where I'll be getting birthday money to buy a keyboard; I don't have any spare money right now.
