In light of recent events, figured this was relevant.
Summary: Benn Jordan (Flashbulb) got his song, Undiscovered Colors, stolen by some guy named Inventor, who put it on all major digital music distribution sites/companies (itunes, spotify, beatport, etc.) and sold it for his own profit. All he did to "remix" the song (which, he did not state it was a remix nor did he contact Benn about using the track; its blatant theft) was put bird sounds over the track in the background. Even shazam picks up the original UC as made by the Inventor, and all cease and desist complaints have been ignored by these companies, yet when Benn tries to upload the original track under his own record label and name, he is the one who is detected for copyright infringement.
This track is his number one single selling track and album.
He calculates the sales reaped by the Inventor as near $10,000
Moral of the story, kids: Don't steal. Then again if you were older than 5 you'd ****ing know that by now.
