    Keyboards

    Hello
Let's bring this keyboard issue up once more again.

What are the qualities of a great FFR-keyboard?
Did changing a keyboard make your scores better / worse?

My keyboard has it's 10th birthday in this summer and I think that this would last to the end of the world, because not a single key has broken during these years. However, I'm considering of buying a new one according to your answers

A picture of my keyboard model, Logitech Y-SG13

If you aren't already doing this, you can't say you're stuck. Plateauing doesn't really exist, if you aren't improving it means you haven't put in the effort needed to improve, or your effort has been misapplied. It's more of a problem at really high levels, but never totally concrete.

Try buying a brown switch mech keyboard, you'll be surprised about how responsive and nice it is to play on.

I got the Dynex wired keyboard, very slim and easy to mash buttons 24 hours a day. The only thing i don't like about it is the home and end buttons are located ON the number pad so they are defective while getting to the start/end of a song in edit mode of Stepmania

Fantastic keyboard though, and 11 freaking bucks on amazon

          Thanx,

I'd like some more discussion about this issue ;D

Here, have a picture of the Microsoft Comfort Curve keyboard I still use for FFR and SM.

Yes, those keys broke off when I played DFJK spread. Now I'm using WEIO in FFR/SM and that other, generic Dell keyboard for everything else.

I have this one too. The only negative about it I'd say is that the keytaps can get somewhat loud.
I bought it due to its price of only $15 at the store.

Would you still recommend that, if the price wouldn't matter?
I'm searching the best keyboard for FFR, it doesn't need to be the cheapest one.

I'm currently using a Logitech Ultra X Premium which is the best keyboard I've had for FFR.

                          Re: Keyboards

I got this: @ Logitech Illuminated Keyboard.

                          and this: @ Laptop keyboard.

                          Logitech Illuminated Keyboard:

                          pros:
                          - Keeps fingers glued to keys.
                          - Keys register quickly and seems to avoid any keyboard misses issues.

                          cons:
                          - Average accuracy.

What I'm using it for: Playing FGOs and harder charts.

                          Laptop Keyboard:

                          pros:
                          - Very good accuracy/consistency.

                          cons:
                          - If you don't totally outspeed charts @ FGO songs, you will slip and get keyboard misses.
                          - It registers slightly later.

What I'm using it for: AAAing mid-FMOs and under.

I'm probably considering trying a brown mech keyboard if it's really the best of both worlds. I feel like I'm limited in different ways with these.
