If you want my 2cents, I think there should be a minimum of 500 but to leave it open to whatever someone wants to bet. Maybe have a starting pot each day of like 5k or something, regardless of who bets and how much. I think that would encourage more people to be interested in betting to see how accurate they can be, as well as ensuring that there is a pot each day. Hell, you could even have a system set up where the top 3 closest get a certain amount (starting pot might have to rise a little), and based on how much you pay in as your bet you actually get a higher or lower percentage of that pot if you're among the winners.
