he didn't really do any work directing the ball in any strategic position aside from through the wall of spanish players. it was an easy save.

the save that followed was fantastic though.

None because I don't care about soccer and I never will. Honestly people are making a bigger deal out of the 'sport' than really needs to be. I say sport in quotes because all they do is pointless celebrations every time they score a goal (which is probably when the game is finished) and fake injuries just for attention. Oh yeah, don't even get me started on the fanbase (no offense to the people on this site who are fans, hopefully you just don't take the game too far. That's my 5 cents on the Euro Cup.

The ignorance contained in that post has officially exceeded the ignorance threshold.
It's okay to not like a sport due to personal reasons and I am one who is very tolerant on diverging opinions but refusing to acknowledge soccer as a sport and using misconceptions to validate an incorrect view about said sport is the definition of idiocy and ignorance.

You're entitled to your own opinions, but here's my two cents:

Yeah they may be "pointless," but any form of achievement is worth celebrating, especially if they are proud of it. Many people respect athletes because they have the skills that are far out of reach compared to the average human being. I wouldn't call it pointless, not one slightest bit. It can be pointless to you though and that's not our problem.
