Some of you may have noticed that I haven't been here for a few days (although I doubt it). The reason is that I think my computer got power surged. We had a big thunderstorm so we turned the computer off and we have a surge protector, but when I turned it on there were problems. As in, after the Windows XP loading screen, the monitor goes black except for an error message that says something along the lines of "System.exe error." If that means what I think it does, my computer is dead. I'm on a school computer right now. For the love of god, please somebody tell me that I overlooked something obvious and I don't have to start computer shopping again...if my baby died I shall be very sad.
Holy Crap, computer problems

NTSC or FAT32.
If Fat32, you can copy the file from dos, if not, your sol.
Try running system restore, or just repair windows from the install disk.
and dont thank me, thank the kid that sits behind me in computer programming

Sorry to bump, but I just wanted to let you all know that after a long complicated process including my father trying to reformat my computer and a trip to the data recovery man, my baby is now back, safe and sound. Thanks, everyone.Comment

I bet you should clear your cache.
