Pink wire lols

So I was in Lowe's the other day.

Some guy was throwing a fit because they sold pink wire there. He made sure to loudly proclaim he wasn't buying that!

Meanwhile I'm mentally facepalming. Because you really see the wire once it's installed right? Right??? And there can't possibly be any practical reason for making a wire pink (or other colors) say mmm for identifying different wires, groups of wires, or such?

Typical redneck overcompensating and insecure in his "manliness".

I wonder how he'd react if he knew they also sell pink paint.

Honestly though, maybe he as ocd and they ran out of black/white/green wires. I still wouldn't throw a fit over piiiiiiiiiink wires.

its funny how colors have genders and that pink is its own color, but light blue is still blue

Also what a moron, I may have laughed out loud instead of mentally face palming...although I suppose if they ONLY had pink wires, it makes more sense

Oh no. They had ALL color wires there. Pink was just one color out of many possibilities. He had a fit because it existed at all. That's what was so funny/ridiculous.

Such a situation would make me facepalm as well; what's so wrong with the color pink, anyways? I just so happen to like the color pink; it's bright and colorful and gives out a happy feeling. I guess I can agree that if pink wire was the only color of wire out there, I guess this would make more sense, but even then I don't think one would have to make a public spectacle out of it.
