Yeah the Nexus is on the big side but I actually consider that a plus. I hate small screens with hard-to-see text and buttons that I have to repress constantly because it mis-detects what I want to do. Typing is loads easier on the bigger phones.

Besides, the Nexus still fits in my pocket just like any other phone I've owned. I honestly never use it and think, "Ho damn this is huge." Now it just feels natural/normal and everything else feels like a small POS.

http://tinyurl.com/falconguide is always great for starters. Beyond that you can just dick around on newegg and Tom's Hardware until you see a piece of hardware at a price you like.

btw the Razr was one a raddest phones around for a really long time and still maintains a pretty decent Swag Rating™ (SR).

        HTC

But, I am a hardcore Droid fan, i love it.
I recommend Droid incredible over everything. But, if you don't mind the monstrous 4.3 inch screen (badass), Droid X is pretty good too
How to start an argument online:
        Step 1) Express an opinion
        Step 2) Wait....

            outdated, outdated, outdated.

I also have the Evo 3D.
Sense is pretty cool compared to TouchWiz, but it's gonna be a while longer before we get ICS.

            Still recommend the Galaxy Nexus.

Noticing a lot of love for Galaxy Nexus so I went to see one at the store, looked cool but damn, way bigger than I was expecting
I'll check out Samsung Note as well... there's a retarded amount of options, hard to sort through all the differences
The note is bigger than the galaxy nexus lmao

If you want something smaller but just as good then I recommend the nexus s. Its my current phone and I love it

I have an Xperia Play... Don't get one. They are shitty phones and my battery with the dimmest screen on idle with no apps running lasts me about 15 hours max.

as far as current smartphones go, your best bets are the GNexus, the Droid Razr Maxx, and the upcoming HTC One X (but seriously import the international version. the US version only has a dual core processor for LTE support, the international version has a QUAD CORE PROCESSOR). If you care about camera quality, don't get the Nexus.

I'm not a fan of samsung's design. Frankly I don't think they could design their way out of a goddamn wet paper bag. It's plastic-y and feels incredibly unsturdy in the hand. THAT SAID the GNexus comes with a beautiful screen and stock 4.0, so it's probably your best bet. Android 4.0 is fucen beautiful and sturdy and actually has GPU acceleration, but at the end of the day you could also install a CM9 rom so it depends on your carrier.

http://pcpartpicker.com to pick parts for the computer you want to build. Combines a bunch of merchants like Newegg, NCIX, Amazon etc and shows you the best prices out of them. Plus has a compatibility check built in (eg pick out an Intel i5-2500k processor and then go to pick a motherboard and it'll only show you socket lga1155 mobos)
