Not that I care about Bioware's honor, but most of those are just coincidences. It is impossible to make things entirely original and they will always be similar to something else somewhere. I don't think it detracts from the game at all.

The photoshop thing is obviously related, but it was open domain and it really isn't a big deal for some small photo that you find. If anything its supposed to be funny and an easter egg.

Also the marketing thing is the retailers fault, not bioware.

This is a thread on BSN that outlines what the majority of players feel is wrong with the games ending and is a way of gathering support for the shallow possibility of changing it. Given the outrage over how confusing and retarded the end was with most people, I'm hoping that they'll do some sort of ending DLC that fixes most of the plot holes and lack of explanation the ending suffers. Its a shame that a game that is great overall suffers such a horrendous ending that threatens to undermine the entire franchise. I figured i'd share it with people on here.

I still can't import my save. I want to play the game and see the ending that I am avoiding on the internet so bad but I CAN'T because I can't import my save.

The ending isn't even bad or good, it's just really incomplete. The cinematics look visually pleasing and all, but it doesn't complete the game. It's just a horrible ending.

You guys have some strange expectations for this game. This isn't any different than most other modern games. I agree that the plot is sub par and for a game with mass effects budget the storylines should be way more intricate and should better reflect gameplay. Even low end japanese visual novels do this kind of multiple plot pathways better than ME3, but I still didn't think it was "that" bad.

I feel like they focused a lot more on this type of thing for really tiny events rather than the whole picture. Depending on what people you bring with you on missions a few insignificant differences can occur, but you can't seem to effect the grand scheme of things based on what you do. Which SHOULD be the point of the game...

At any rate I had sub par expectations to begin with and the game seemed alright to me so I am not dissapointed.

I think the biggest problem people have with the ending is the deus ex machina, brevity, lack of explanation/closure, and the feeling that their choices didn't matter. I wont even get into the plot holes that have no explanation besides space magic. They did what George Lucas had done in 3 movies, in 10 minutes of shitastic gameplay.

I also had pretty subpar expectations after reading some of the leaked story months ago. The game minus the ending was actually better than i thought it was going to be, but its just unfortunate that the ending happened the way it did.

Mass effect has ALWAYS had subtle references to various Sci-Fi games and movies.
Thats the main thing I've always liked about the series is that it had paid homage many great Sci-Fi works of the past.

Bladerunner, Deus Ex, Star Trek, Star Wars, Futurama, Stargate SG-1, Babylon 5, and many others.

Sort of like easter eggs that only a Sci-Fi nerd like myself can appreciate.
