I found another thread but it had about 4 replies in it and none of which really said much about the game, so instead of bumping an old thread I decided I'd make this.
I'm sure I'm not the only one on this forum who plays, and I'd love to find out who does so they can come play with Meno and I.
For those of you who don't play Battlefield, but have heard about it (Or even not), it's an all out warfare type of game. It has multiple gameplay modes that are familliar to those who have played other FPS games, or just battlefield in general.
These gameplay modes include:
Rush - Attacking team rushes to plant bomb on 2 M-Com's while the defenders try to prevent them from doing so.
Team Deathmatch - Self explanitory
Conquest - Capture the point type of deal
Squad Rush - Same thing as rush, but more squad based. Squads consist or 4 players from the team, and each squad rushes to plant to bomb on the M-Com's.
Squad DM - Same thing as TDM, but based around squads.
The thing that really sets this FPS apart from most other mainstream FPS games is the ability to use vehicles depending on the mode you play on. You can fly jets or helicopters or you can drive tanks, light armour vehicles and even a forklift. Having vehicles really adds a lot of depth to the game, making it not so "run and gun" like other FPS franchises are so well known for. It requires you to think and plan out what you're going to do, and it heavily requires team work, rather than one dude who just plays way too much and carries the whole team.
Aside from all that, the main thing that really sets this game apart from other FPS games is the destructible enviroments, and bullet drop. What this does, is it makes camping like a little bitch impossible, and it makes sniping that much more skill based. Depending on how far you are from your target, you will need to aim according to how much the bullet will drop on the way there. As for the destructible environments, that's pretty easy to figure out.
Here's a video that shows Battlefield 3 in a nutshell.
For those of you who already play, here are Meno's and My battlelog.
Hopefully I did a better than average job explaining a bit about the game for those who haven't played it. I'm a bit ADHD so this kind of stuff is a challenge for me lol.
