Humble Indie Bundle 4 has been released! For those who are unaware of the Humble Bundles, it works like this: indie developers allow their games to be in the bundle for us to purchase. How much does it cost? However much you want to pay for it. That's right, you can pay ANY AMOUNT you'd like for these games, even a penny. So why do they do this and allow you to buy these games so cheap? The proceeds of this bundles sales majorly go to charity; the Humble Bundle is associated with the American Red Cross and Child's Play charities. After you set how much you want to pay for it, there's a slider which will let you control how much of your money goes to the indie developers of the games in the bundle, the charities, and to Humble Bundle themselves so that they can pay for bandwidth usage and promotions.
The games that are included in the basic bundle (you will have access to these games no matter what you pay):
Jamestown (Retail $9.99)
Bit.Trip Runner (Retail $9.99)
Super Meat Boy (Retail $14.99)
Shank (Retail $14.99)
NightSky/NightSky HD Beta (Retail $9.99; NightSky HD Beta exclusive access)
= 5 games that retail for $59.95 together for whatever you'd like to pay
Also, if you pay more than the current average (as of this post, the current average is $5.32) you get access to two more games:
Gratuitous Space Battles + Multiplayer Access (Retail $29.99)
Cave Story+ (Retail $9.99)
= 7 games that retail for $99.93 for ~$6 (depending on when you buy the bundle)
The Humble Bundle recently added the soundtrack for ALL 7 GAMES for absolutely no extra cost!
This is not only an amazing deal, but a great way to donate to American Red Cross and Child's Play charities. What are you waiting for, go buy it!
Since you may have questions about how you get the games, it works like this. You pay for the bundle and checkout using whatever method you like. You then get access to a specific URL (SAVE THIS) that will bring you to a page including download links for every game. Also, it includes Steam keys so you can have them saved to your Steam library. These games can be downloaded as many times as you like on any computer, as they are all DRM free.
