reason: I get disconnected ALL the time and it lags a lot of course. Just today I was going for the moon easter egg and we were literally one round away from being able to finish it but then..... you can just guess what happens. All 4 of us were lagged out of the game and so now we are all pissed off. Spent 4 hours trying to complete the damn easter egg. Not gonna be able to do it till Wednesday since we are all going to be busy this week except for that day.

It's because the east coast got dominated by the hurricane, any one connecting to a host on the east coast is basically done for. Im on the east coast and Ive been getting that a lot too, but I got nothing from the hurricane in my area. So this one really isn't treyarchs fault, all though, other then that they do have pretty low connectivity and I don't know why. It's not like they don't the ability to run their servers well, WaW's servers ran smooth as can be, but it could be due the massive amount of people playing. The amount of people online in the bottom corner, doesn't count the amount of players in zombies, so at all times Black Ops on any system is probably averaging a shit ton of players all at once.

Remember, even with Infinity Wards servers, the amount of people playing at once really gave bad connections a lot of the times.




As for Bullshit.....


A lot of times it seems as if you fire right at someone and it doesn't connect, but you can fire ahead or behind and it hits them. It's probably due to the connection issue, but if it isn't that I'd say the hit detection because it used to be the most horrifying thing ever. Perfect example, hitting someone 6 times on your screen, and they die, but in the Kill cam you get 2 or 3 hit markers and they die. IMO, something tells me they give false hit markers for some retarded reason.

I live in Kansas and everyone I was playing with lives in Kansas. Pretty sure the hurricane had no affect on us. I hardly ever have bad connection for MW2. If I ever do its because my NAT type gets switched to strict or moderate somehow but I can change that back to open and then I am lag free.

That happens for everyone though, because of the auto aim. You can't do much about it unless you turn it off, which for me, I find that more efficient for shotting the M16 or the G11. A lot of times those 2 guns will auto aim onto someone but fall behind them and you usually miss, only downside is it not auto aiming on someone under cover that you don't know is there, but you would know when hes coming out cause your gun follows his path but ehh whatever, I play without auto aim and do great.

Yeah, for black ops I have very strict classes, my G11 class is STRICTLY FOR A 4 BAR CONNECTION because of the shitty connection, I hate how they have theater mode in this game though, even though I use it sometimes, because actually that's what causes a lot of lag in this game, it requires a good amount of uh, internet usage I guess to record all those games. And I don't use auto aim either, I like to put myself up for a challenge so I don't use it, I've tried it before and never noticed a difference. And mrmagic i've changed so i don't see a reason to argue for much anymore.

In Team Tac it isn't too bad lol, only 3 competitors but it also a really easy way to get lightweight pro as well, cause in CTF as long as you have the flag, anytime you kill someone it's an offense medal.

lol what. Theater mode causes absolutely zero lag. It isn't an actual video recording, it just saves the code for every action that went on in that game and then plays it back.

I'm about prestige 7/8. Don't get to play Black Ops as much as I'd like tbh, it doesn't work on one of my Playstations at all, so have to settle with still being on MW2 some days (Doesn't bother me much, I still like MW2, but I wanna milk BLOPS)

I'm hoping to whore the shit out of BLOPS soon for a few weekends, it's really easy to level up compared to MW2, would be sweet to reach 15th before MW3 is out.

What causes the lag with Theater mode is the rendering. It uses up connection, connecting to youtube to render your videos, a crap ton of people render with their xbox's and PS3's.
