Assassin's Creed II or Brotherhood. Brotherhood has multiplayer capabilities, but it's mostly one player.

Heavy Rain (Nice story telling. Disturbing parts though)

edit: I was going to say Demons' Souls, but Reach already beat me to it. Killzone 2 and 3 are pretty good, too. I know I'm throwing in FPS games to the mix, but these aren't as terribad as CoD. There's an original story in it, omg. O:

I dunno if Grand Theft Auto IV is in your tastes, but it's actually somewhat fun.

Metal Gear Solid 4 is a must. One of the best games I ever played, despite the insanely long cutscenes.

Oblivion's another good one, surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet.

OH. LittleBigPlanet. Sure, it's that one game that's more fun with more than one person, but it's still pretty fun nonetheless. And of course, there's the myriad of community-made levels, some of which are pretty amazing.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas
TES IV: Oblivion

I've played Fallout 3 and Oblivion on the 360. So they should be comparable with the PS3 versions.

They're all better on the PC though >_>

(This game is one of the best games I have EVER played, and I HIGHLY recommend it)

I've played Fallout 3 and Oblivion on the 360. So they should be comparable with the PS3 versions.

(Actually, they look better on Xbox 360, and Oblivion never got Trophy support for PS3)
