    BRAID (my review)

So I was logging into steam (after updating it for like the 5th time this week) and the usual advertisement window popped up. Usually its an ad for some lame cookie cutter FPS or fantasy RPG. However this time Braid was on the ad. Being it was from an indie dev, I thought I would at least check it out.

Braid is a platform style game. While it's only 2D graphically, it brings a new dimension to explore. Time.
In this game, dying isn't the end. In fact, morbidly, you have to kill yourself to solve quite a few of the puzzles. If you **** up, simply rewind yourself back and try again. This is a beautiful mechanic if you're one of those people that hates having to start over an entire stage/level/chapter of a game just because of even a tiny ****-up.
Plot-wise, I can't help but compare this game to Portal because of the macabre/sarcastic sense of humor and how both games start out light and shiny only to become somewhat sinister and dark as you progress.
The game is incredible, I can't say a bad thing about it.
The music and artwork is beautiful, the gameplay is unique and challenging, and there is no repetitiveness in the level design. 5/5 stars.

Conclusion: Get this game, you won't regret it.

I have it on XBL. I 100%d it (including the hidden stars). Wonderful game.
