So, I had a friend of 5 years (who i let on my account sometimes to just kill monsters and shit) take my entire bank. After i lost that 800m staking, i worked really hard and made back a couple hundred mil. Only to find 2 hours after i let him on, that i was missing everything and i was blocked on AIM. I'd given him tons of cash through-out the years, we'd been there with each other through the good times and the bad, and then .. it's as if he had no soul and took everything. I'd had severe depression for years too, he'd been my friend since the start of it. Helped me through it too. Him taking my stuff triggered some intense feelings and thoughts last night. Such as who are my real friends, why should i trust anyone and how he MUST have known that taking my stuff would make me feel like utter shit. I don't know..Any thoughts on this guys?

Don't share your account information. Ever. No seriously; believe it or not, all the GMs of all the various MMOs out there are very correct that you shouldn't be sharing your account information. Not to strangers, not to your parents, not to your brothers, not to your friends, not to your dog, etc...

Ultimately, you shouldn't have to share your account information with a friend. It's not required and it shouldn't be. Once again, do not share your account information with anyone ever. The sad part of this is that this situation happens all the time and it's usually because a "friend" decided to empty the account.

Also; ditch your "friend" and get a new one. After that you have no reason to be friends with him, IMO.

(To be on-topic, I have played RuneScape before but I don't really play it anymore. I pop on for the holiday events most of the time and that's pretty much it.)

Runescape is ehhh. its ok at first but then once it gets down to "oh ive done everything i can at this level, i need to geta higher level" and the training, it gets boring.

All the bots were a huge turnoff too. It's like, what's the point?

I had a lot of great times on Runescape, though. I just don't play anymore and don't plan on going back.

In all fairness, I agree and disagree. I think what made Runescape fun was playing with my friends. The training wasn't the fun part, but doing it with other people was. Well, for a while a least, lol. Got too boring. But all games do I suppose.

I thought it died off completely with the older group (of course still big with the youngers from 8 - 14 year olds). Did it get massive amounts of awesome or something? I mean, I used to be big into the game without ever getting membership.

I stopped playing when someone stole my account somehow (I never shared my info) and the back up/recovery system was utter shit so I lost my lvl 50 character.

Yeah it did. I will admit I loved it back then because it was addicting and free and nothing to download other than Java, which almost every comp had.
