I've been playing on a pretty big server on occassion. Liking the new bed update, they really should talk to the mo' creature guy cause some of those mobs might actually be cool to have in the game.

Really, i don't play much minecraft anymore as i am pretty much burnt out on it solo. As others, it would be cool if we had a permenant FFR minecraft server. Not sure how much interest we have atm anyway.

No offense but we're keeping the server private atm.
Not even sure how many people would be able to log on it anyway since I'm using a ~8ish yr old refurbished PC as a dedicated server. (Its not actually bad for a PC of it's time, 1 gb of ram and 2.66 ghz cpu, definitely been upgraded)

Public servers are pretty much ass anyway. Either too many griefers or run by micromanaging nazis with far too many rules. You're better off getting your friends sucked into the game and having your own private server.

And to anyone wanting to start your own server: (just incase this hasn't been posted yet)
Save yourself alot of headache and just use: http://hamachi.en.softonic.com/
Download the minecraft server off the minecraft site, install hamachi, create a new network on hamachi, copy the IP address of the hamachi network, Open up the server properties file that came with the minecraft server download in note pad, paste the IP with a port of your choice (example 111.11.1.111:80, :80 being the port and you do need the :colon: for proper syntax). Install the latest java. Run the server executable and bam. You gotta minecraft server.

Note: For anyone to connect to your server they must also have hamachi installed and they have to be connected to the hamachi network you created.

I recommend hamachi just because its more secure than manually forwarding ports.
~you can even ban people via hamachi so they can't just spoof names to get around a ban~
