Bioshock X-Box 360 issues

I bought myself Bioshock for Christmas, and let me say, this game is insane. Unfortunately anytime that I am playing the game it will randomly freeze up on me. It is not because it is overheated, I did multiple tests for that, and it is not because of me playing music while playing because I never do. Is there something that I am overlooking? I am in Iraq and I am unable to connect to X-Box Live. Are there updates or something that I am supposed to download? I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks

There are a few updates but I am unsure if they fix that kind of a problem. I played through the whole game with no problems I recall, but then agian I downloaded every update the day it came out. Maybe its just a problem with the xbox does it freeze for you during other games?

Yeah, well, it sometimes does the same thing for Star Wars: The Force Unleased....mabey it is my X-Box. It is brand new though and the disks are not scratched. It is driving me friggin nuts.

My best friend plays bioshock and he didn't have any troubles with it =/
We're were playing it during winter break

Think it is just your xbox. Is it a first gen 360 or a newer one?

Did you buy it from an Iraqi street vendor?
If so, this might be the issue.

Ps3 controller isn't any better. The wii-mote is straight up retarted. The wii is geared towards kids to begin with. There is just as much shooter games on the ps3. Wii has mostly stupid games and alot are childish. Ps3 is to expensive.

All in all none of the systems are just fantastic, but there is no reason to hate a system just because.
