    WTCC Race '07

World Touring Car Championship Race '07 is a simulation racing game based off of the WTCC. It's hailed as one of the most realistic racers ever made, and after playing the demo and inevitably buying the game, I can believe that statement %100.

The game wont appeal to most racing fans who are used to driving fast and crashing into things as in such games as Burnout, Initial D, and Flatout, but it will appeal to another crowd. This is not a racer where you can simply gun it like a mad man the entire race and expect to win first place. This is a racer that requires you to get used to handling these extremely fast vehicles, staying at a constant rate of speed insted of flooring it on the curves so you don't spin out (Though, you can easily pull that off in a Touring Honda), and requires you to analyze each turn and straight on the track so fully that you'll find yourself thinking that 30 minutes to set a qualifying time isn't nearly enough.

This is a game for a different breed of race fans.

Truth be told, it wont appeal to many other people, but those who play it will find themselves talking about it. They'll find themselves looking at cars on the highway and thinking "How well does that handle?"

I suppose there's only so much I can say about a game before it becomes flattering, but, allow me to say one solid detail. This is the most immersive game I have ever played. PERIOD.

You can check out the game's official website at:

I highly suggest you download the demo if you're into racing games.

    That's it on my part.

PS - I played the demo on Steam first and considered buying it, but was shocked by the slightly high price tag ($30.) However, if you check your local gamestop, you may be able to get a new copy for $10 like I did and save yourself $20.
