I just bought C&C Tiberium Wars

for £3 (~$6) in a charity shop. Good decision?

I haven't played a C&C game since Red Alert for windows 95. Damn that was a fun game. Is this as much fun?

C&C3 is fun, especially if you enjoy the series. the whole alien thing coming in as a 3rd race late in the campaigns is a bit weird, but i guess it furthers the plotline of all 3 tiberium games.

i got about 10 or 12 hours of enjoyment out of it. maybe a bit more. i also REALLY enjoy the C&C games.

Yeah, I think it's pretty fun. I'm hoping to get the expansion pack pretty soon.
Also that sucker cost me 20$

Cbr - That's why you check out charity shops. You'd be surprised what you can find and in good condition too. This only had some smudge marks on the CD but everything else was there (manual / in box etc.)

Tass - As I said I haven't really followed the series. I've only ever played Red Alert for Windows 95 which was, admittedly, really really fun, but hey even 10+ hours would have been worth getting it.

I forgot if it's what I bought, but I basically bought this thing where you get the First Decade in addition to C&C3. I've already purchased all the C&C games at some point in the past, though. Also, none of the packs come with Sole Survivor, so I've got that over most people

          I've played/whored out every C&C game/expansion to date.

So to answer your question, yes, it's a very good purchase The C&C games are gems, in my opinion. Some quite mediocre, perhaps (Tiberian Sun, Renegade, and, imo, Generals), but the rest are tons of fun and well worth the cost, and well worth the time spent playing. I have many fond memories
