Talking about downloading emulators/roms for emulators/illegal distribution for hacked roms is not allowed on FFR Forums.

There's no difference between asking for a download link of a licensed anime link and asking for a download link of a copyrighted video game. Asking for Kaizou Mario is asking for the redistribution of a hacked copyrighted videogame.

This notice is all over every Japanese Kaizou Mario fansite there is. Japanese sites refrain from publicizing such download links.

The right way to get Kaizou Mario is to:

-Pull the rom information out of Super Mario World US version
(game vacuums are sold in various places)
(as long as you bought your own SMW to do this, and you're NOT redistributing it, it's fine)
-Attach the VIP Mario .ips patch using WinIPS
-Play the game on an emulator.
(emulators aren't illegal in Japan, dunno about US)
(they are treated as separate programs from the original game systems themselves)

Which is why, this thread should be locked.

MrMagic5239 had a Forum ban from discussing emulated material.

As far as I understand, emulators themselves aren't illegal, but the game files played on them are. I've also heard that as long as you own a copy of the original game, then you're fine.

Hence, redistributing Super Mario World over the internet is illegal. I stated the proper procedures, and the fact that you need your own copy of the game.

Hence, MrMagic5239 got forum banned when talking about this subject.

Hence, why isn't this thread locked yet?

Kaizou Mario is a sick game btw. Can't even last first second of the first stage (I got better but).

Except no one bothers to go to Japanese sites to get the best hacked version amirite. I mean, there's a reason why there's only one major Super Mario World hack that goes on youtube so often.

It is illegal to download any Nintendo ROMs in any way. The only legal way to own a ROM is to back it up yourself.

IPS files aren't ROMs, so my sharing of IPS files is ok. I told them to go get the ROM on their own.

Hence, advertising a youtube video with illegal download links is the same as introducing illegal download sites on FFR. Wipe playe's post.
