    Halo for PC?

Is the PC version of Halo 2 the same as the Xbox version? Or is it watered down and really bad?

I don't want to buy an xbox just to play Halo.

What would they have watered down? It came out AFTER the xbox version, they wouldn't remove anything. Use your brain.

Sorry for not being the ultimate Halo guru.

      I've played it like twice.

Counsel versions are usually the watered down ones due to restrictions with the hardware. And since you've only played Halo like twice...it's not really that great. If you want a good PC game get 'The Orange Box' which is 5 awesome games in one...and it's not one of those where you get 5 little ****ty mini games, no...the games are ****ing amazing and full versions. Call of Duty 4 is another good game. Halo was really only good back before ~2005...not it's just a bunch of fanboyism IMO.

If you're going to get a Halo for the computer, you should get the first, the storyline's MUCH better.

Halo was never that good. Not even before '05.

              Halo 1 is the best

Actually, halo 2 is worst out of the 3.

Halo is the best, and i had a **** load of fun online, and btw, get a controller, its a lot easier.

I played halo 1 pc for years and never tried halo 2 pc (alas no vista) But people say that halo 2 pc is exactly the same as xbox except you need better aim because the pc version dosnt have that little auto lock that the xbox version has so if you have decent aim id say get it it should be worth it.

                  Re: Halo for PC?

The Orange Box is a better buy, it's more likely to run smoother than Halo 2.

Halo 2 was a big console game.. it's not as big of a deal online.

More people still play it on Xbox than PC.

Anyway, you have to have Vista to run it. If you do have Vista, I would look into finding a demo, to at least see if you like it.

(Halo 2 was the best Xbox Live game of it's time, and probably still the best.)
