"Automatic Mario"

I couldn't really decide where to put this thread--GVG because it's about Mario and is a video game setting, or Chit-Chat because it doesn't really have anything to do with playing a video game. I ended up deciding to put it here, but please move it if it's better suited somewhere else.

Anyway, for those of you who haven't heard of Automatic Mario, here's the general idea. Basically, using emulation and hacking software, people create custom Super Mario World levels that beat themselves. The stage moves Mario around, performing various cool tricks until the end. Occasionally, it's set to music.

So, if anyone's made any Automatic Mario stuff, post it here I guess.

Also, in the link I posted, the song used is similar to TGWP in that it's a mix of many different songs. I know I heard Hare Hare Yukai, God knows..., Motteke Sera Fuku, Gong by JAM Project, and several Touhou things. There were also other songs I recognize but couldn't place, either their names or where I'd heard them. If anyone could give any info on the name of the entire song played throughout the video, or the individual songs that make it up, I'd really appreciate it. The very last song in particular is annoying me--I know I've heard it before, but I have no idea where.

the very last song is called "sakura" which means cherry blossom.

That was completely mind-blowing. The most amazing video I've seen in as long as I can remember.

Also the youtube link (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEFa17MZrX8) to that video shows every song used in the medley. You can probably find out other stuff from the user profile too.

Wow! I watch the full eleven minutes and didn't get tired at all. That was indeed the most epic video ever! Those guys are so skilled. I bet they worked on it day and night but it payed off. What was hilarious though was that the song was like if it was composed exactly for that. It was weird and kewlz at the same time.

EDIT: I knew I recognized it from somewhere! From 1:32 minutes to ~2:00 minutes it sounds like The Brain of the Moon. I knew it sounded familiar but I couldn't remember what song it was from.

If anybody wants to know how that was done, it was most likely done with the Super Mario World editor Lunar Magic. I've actually used it myself; everything in that video can be done with that program...so if you want to make your own, that'd be the one to do it with.


Amazing. If only I did it first.
