Star Fox 64 help

I'm just looking for tips on how to get medals on the levels i cant seem to get them on. I already have Corneria, Meteo, Katarina, (I cant remember this name to save my life, will edit in once i get to that level), and Sector X. So i would like tips on all the other levels except Venom. Its easy enough to get the Venom medal if you just do Venom 2

Yeah i tried it but they all gave dumb hints like "Charge your laser!"
And yeah i know about the Medal FAQ but that didnt help me at all, which is why im asking here ^_^

So, charge your laser. You gotta do what Peppy says at the almost exact time he says it. He tells you to use the boost to get through, use the boost to get through. If he says for you to do a barrel roll, do a barrel roll. If he etc.

Look, I don't know either. I'm just trying to help a FFRist out, y'know?

Medals go on how many kills you have, if you didn't know

150 on corneria etc...

=P i appriciate it. and i always do what peppy says but thats not whats giving me trouble. Its the fact that if there are like 100 enemies in a stage you need 150 kills and theres only like 2 grouped enemies. Im probably just not seeing a buttload of them though... Although ive played thrugh every single level at least 10 times.. in the last 2 days

I think I unlocked all the medals myself in the old days when I played it, it's been a while so I don't know what to do anymore.

MrMagic5239 is completely right about needing a number of kills per level to get a medal...

Luckily, I still have my mini strategy guide my cousin gave me... umm... 9 years ago, so heres the exact number of kills you need for each level.
Easy route levels:
Corneria: 150 Meteo: 200 Fortuna: 50 Sector X: 200 Titania: 150 Bolse: 150

Hard route levels:
Sector Y: 150 Aquas: 150 Zoness: 250 Sector Z: 100 Area 6: 300

Intermediate levels:
Katina: 150 Solar: 100 Macbeth: 150

Venom: 200 (should do it on easy)

I hope that helps, and dont worry about the 300 kills for Area 6, its the closest thing to side scrolling bullet hell in shoot em ups in Star Fox, so theres plenty of enemies, and the satellite things and ships give a nice kill bonus. Thats my favorite level in this game.

On Zoness (which is pretty much my favorite level) always use your charge shot. When you get to the searchlight behind that paddle wheel wall that you shoot to raise, ignore it. This will cause more ships to show up near the end. Remember that you will get more points more something killed within the blast radius. This is especially important for the searchlights - shoot the water around them. Hold L and R to disable auto-target if you want.

On Macbeth (my other favorite level), take out parts of the train whenever you can. Use untargeted charge shots for those towers at the beginning. Use a bomb for those jets in the air at the beginning. Always take out the boulders with charge shots while using the brake if you have to; this is probably the most important part. Charge shots for those groups of 5 jets. Don't forget the switches of course.

On Area 6 (another awesome level). Bomb the hell out of the mine field. Memorize where groups of jets will appear and charge shot the hell out of them. Shoot those satellites (no charge shot) and the large ships. Get the missiles if you can. Just blast the hell out of everything really, while going for hit bonuses.

I love the StarFox 64 game! I havn't played it since my "childhood" so I don't remember much but I can safely say, "wreak havoc and destroy anything and everything that you can." Sorry, I'm not much help out all.

The hardest ones for me were always Solar and Zoness.
