Really they are two completely different things. Yes the concept is the same but DDR/ITG is more active and the charts flow with the songs while FFR/SM is simply pressing arrows with your keyboard. I love ITG/DDR because it's much more social and you can draw crowds at arcades lol.

I also strongly agree with the poster below me because DDR is just...just...I'm going to start crying...****ing konami had to ruin everything I loved...EVERYTHING

In some ways FFR is better then DDR, but DDR is better for you.

1. FFR Is less strenuous.
1. DDR gives you ****loads of exercise.

They don't have enough ITG where I reside. DDR and ITG sprouted the idea for SM and FFR, so wouldn't that make them the parent programs of FFR and SM, thus making them superior?

First of all, we have an FFR General forum and a Music Games forum. Video Games is for things that don't belong in those categories.

Even if you had made it in one of those, saying "Is X better than Y?" is a horrible topic and not up to standards of a forum. The idea is having a discussion. If your message could be summarized in a poll, you shouldn't post the topic.
