    Okami

So, I bought it. And a few weeks later, I finished it. It took me around 30 hours to play through the main game, and I didn't really bother with a lot of the side stuff like fishing, monster lists, side quests, feeding all the animals, getting the upgraded brush techniques, some of the blockheads, some of the gold dust, and some of the gates I just left alone.

Has anyone else played this game? I just got New Game +, so it looks like the second playthrough will tkae considerable less time, as I have all of my old weapons, minus the elemental ones.

And I know the game underperformed liek woah, but they need to do a sequel. That's imperative. There's a cliffhanger, so, I really think it would be imperative that they make a second one. This one is fantastic, and has a pretty good, winding story.

I rented it once, and had tons of fun with it.

I own it, but I never finished it. I was really busy with other things I guess. I'd assume it's worth finishing then? I just finished the wind shrine place (second dungeon?).

Was it in the forest, or was it the windmill?

The main story is pretty long. I'd say the windmill is around the 1/2 way point.

What* is the game about? Maybe I'll rent or buy it, if it has good reviews.

This was a great game.. although i got towards the end and other games came up so i never finished it... i just recently started it again, but i'll probably have to restart it once more and play through xD A sequel would be fantastic.. i know that they're coming out with a port for the wii. Would've been nice to own it on there instead of ps2 just for the ease of the celestial brush.

Well, it was named the best game on PS2 by IGN for 2006. You're a sun god in ancient Japan named Okami, who is sent to fight a demon named Orochi, who is this 8 headed serpent type deal. Along the way, you perform miracles to get 'praise,' which you use to boost your stats. You also have to revive nature, as there is a thick fog that drains your god-powers, and by reviving specific trees, you clear the landscape.

While I agree to some extent, they designed the game for the PS2, and gave a little leeway with the brush techniques. It was kind of frustrating when I was trying to make the wind blow and I drew another lillypad, though.
