    Main characters can't talk!

    Some of the most famous video game series started with a character that was literally speechless. Like for example, Link, Mario, Crash Bandicoot, and Gordon Freeman all have a huge gaming history but never have a single speech bubble of word said in any of their games. Now you may be thinking, NO, Mario says stuff in his games! Well yes he does but the speech from partners in time isn't even a language, and anything else he says is just 1 or 2 words like "leta go!" or from New super Mario bros., "here I go" You may think this is a break through in speech but it's not, he never says anything worth being a sentence.

    So, did I miss anyone? What are your thoughts on the subject?

                              Well, an excuse for what? I don't think I understand. Having no excuse for knowing that all they could do were beeps but not saying it? On another note, there were speech bubbles so you sort of didn't need any sound.

                                  You forgot Crono and Serge. Everyone but they talked in their games.

                                                          Pokemon main characters off the top of my mind:

                                                          Red/Blue, Gold/Silver, Brendan/May, Lucas/Dawn.
