    OFMG DOOM 3!

This game looks like teh ULTIMATE win. Best grafix and lighting EVER, most realistic fizzix engine ever created and a scary as hell game to boot. Check out some of these Screen Shots- this is actual, real time gameplay, btw.

No...that's one of the enemies. I didn't realize ever SS had it in it...oh well. Anyway, you're on a research asteroid, and some scientists for some reason or another release a bunch of demons onto the asteroid, and you're the only survivor. You run around, blasting zombies (a LOT of zombies), demons, and otherworldy creatures. Beyond being one of the most anticipated games EVER, it's scary as all hell. You can see the Legacy video here:

No, you're a human soldier on Mars.

But I think the game will be pretty bad personally. ID banked on the graphics, and not the gameplay, so it'll play like original doom without the fact that it can't do any better. I'll probably buy it though, depending on how I tthink it'll perform on my computer. If I can't play it with most things on at 1024 and 4xAA 8xAF at at least 30fps I won't be playing it. Original doom IMO is probably better,

If your comp can't handle 30 fps, don't bother getting anything made in the last 5 years, considering that the human eye can distinguish individual frames if it's less than what...35 fps I think. And I heard that D3 is going to get up to 60 fps, so don't worry about that.

You guys should play Doom 1 and Doom 2 to get the back story on it if you haven't already. Yes the graphics will be crap and the AI will be stupid, but it's still fun.

Did you read the book Knee Deep in the Dead and also read the intermissions between episodes and levels? Or did you just press space over and over again to get past them and to the killing?
