It wasn't really that good at all.

Unreal Tournament 3 (Previously known as Unreal Tournament 2007) is still set to be released this year. Wait for that.

In the meantime, Unreal Tournament 2004 is like $5-10 now.

Ok. But another question. Does UT 2004 have a single player mode or is it all multiplayer?

It has single player mode. I think there's a campaign to it too, but I haven't played it in a solid 4-6 months. The only bad thing is it takes up a lot of space. Besides that it's a really fun game.

Far Cry was alright. You'd probably enjoy playing it the first time through. I don't know how to explain it, you're on this island killing crap. The hang glider in pretty cool. So yeah I'd buy it, but I don't know what Unreal Tournament is so maybe you should wait for that.

Played Far Cry. Loved it. However, if you are looking to get into this game and have no previous FPS skill, avoid this game at all costs. This game punishes those who have no skill and does it repetitiously. Also, there's something majestic about sniping someone a mile away from the top of a mountain on a beach.

I say definitely give it a play if you have the skill to beat it.

Uh oh. I play fps's alot e.g: wolf et but im not really amazing at them. Im basically an average joe. Would UT 2004 be newbie friendly? If not can someone suggest anyone that a moderate good player can do?

                Re: Far Cry

Unreal Tournament is not easy. I've played FPSes for years and I barely managed to finish the single-player campaign on the easiest difficulty. The final fight is insane.

Unreal Tournament isn't your standard FPS. There's no story or anything. You just compete in tournaments. Far Cry actually has a story.

Unreal Tournament is a lot more fun though. There's no reloading and you get about 10 guns. It's amazing.

                    Re: Far Cry

I loved the Far Cry multiplayer. Unlike many games where it's "Kill the most ppl lol", there are maps with a defending team and an attacking team. The defending team is protecting a base. To capture the base, the attacking team must touch a flag that's in the middle of the base and protect it for some time (10 seconds?). If they succeed, the defending team starts respawning in another base and the attacking team respawns in the base they captured. There are 3 bases in a map and there's a time limit during which the attacking team must capture the 3 bases to win. If the teams are fairly balanced, it requires a lot of teamwork to win. Being a sniper was really awesome because of all the bushes, rocks, etc.

I haven't played the single player and can't comment on it.

Hmm alright, looks like my only solution will be to just practice and get better. Ill still buy Far Cry & if squeek is right about the price of ut 2004 i will buy that also. Thanks people =)

Speaking of UT2K4, since I have free time Squeek, should I reinstall it so I can play with you?
