.Hack// Series
Well, I was wondering why this series is so popular because I was considering to buy some/most/all of the games in it. Since I couldn't figure out why, I thought I'd ask the people on the FFR forums. Oh and this is about the series in general, not a specific game in the series.

Well the controls were pretty sucky in the first few, I hated them.... like alot.
I only played it for one day though so I can't talk much.
But I LOVE the anime beyond words, so I would still be willing to play them anyways.

Personally I like the first 4 in the series. It's probably something that not everyone would like. You're best bet would just be to try it out for yourself.. The GU series seems a bit more polished graphics-wise but has less to offer than the original four as far as I can see.

well i mostly played the GU series to continue the anime storyline to see what happens, the GU series however will leave you in the dark at many points unless you've seen the anime, the other volumes is for introducing beginners to the .hack game world.Support Irish, Go Here!--->Comment

Loved the anime. Interesting plot. However i have to say that the first four games were extremely tedious. It was either train for two hours on the same monsters or buy 99 potions just to complete a mission. I sadly have not got a chance to play the gu series but it seems nice.

I really liked the anime, but not the games. You pretty much kept doing the same things over and over again the entire time, and much of it was pretty poorly done. You could easily get stuck where you'd opened more than one portal at once and be in a huge mess, or other things that just seemed like so little time was put in.

I like the story better in the original 4 but overall gameplay in GU, GU is MUCH easier and less time consuming as wellAAA's - 125+19
