Having trouble using a PS2 controller on computer

I'm using a parallel port adapter with a recent version of NTPAD. Using NTPAD has not given me problems in the past (with my DDR pad), and I'm 99% sure the controller is not the problem. When I try to configure the buttons, there's no input from the controller.

I just want to know if it is possible to configure the controller for parallel port. (If not I can look into buying a PS2 to USB)

I built one of those parallel port adapters. I was just using it yesterday to play DraculaX. Try the psxpad drivers because I haven't had a problem with those.

Thanks, Psxpad worked. I might get a ps2 to usb adapter for multiplayer later.
