I bought Digital Devil Saga 1...

    ...and Devil May Cry 3.

Haven't played either yet, but am about to in a minute. Needed something to play in-between Disgaea 2 (of which I am up to around 70'ish hours).

Anyone played either and care to tell me what they think of it, no spoilers, just generally if the games are fun, what to look forward to (good battle system or whatnot) etc.

Buy Digital Devil Saga 2. If you can find and afford the first one, you can find and afford the second one, trust me.

You do NOT want to have to wait in between playing DDS1 and DDS2. They are incredibly good games, and, put together, are a contender for best PS2 RPG. Play them immediately. Amazing story, characters, music, graphics, and gameplay. Every single area shines.

DMC3 is a fantastic game as well. Some of the finest gameplay I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

Man, the first one cost me £15 ($30). It wasn't rare or anything.

Also, DDS2 comes out on the 23rd february, it'll be £30 ($60). Will buy it when I get paid on the 28th.

But cheers for the information. Never knew you'd be one for playing an action game like DMC3 haha.

I'm surprised Moogy made an on-topic post.

I guess he only posts sincerely in the General Video Games area.

In answer to your question: I haven't played DDS1 but DMC3 is amazing. You really ought to play it right now.

I decided to leave DMC3 until tomorrow (going to bed soon now), but I did play DDS1, and it was pretty damn good. The battles are fun and are just plain cool looking, I like the music, and the story seems like it could go places.

          Gotta love Atlus.

Both games are incredible. DMC3 is one of the greatest action games I've played (tieing God of War) and DDS1/2 are some of the greatest RPGs I've ever played.

Yeah so I played DMC3 for a little bit today, just the first mission and whatnot, very fast-paced but the sort of pick up and play game I was looking for. Will last me a while as I'll be playing it the odd time, rather than full on.

I would have played either game more today, but I ended up playing Disgaea 2 for 6 hours, up to 76 total hours. Definitely moving up as one of my favourite RPG's ever.
