What a move. I'm hearing that this game is going to blow but if you buy a marked copy of it, you can participate in halo3 beta testing.

So is anyone going to buy this game for H3 beta testing, or is this game going to actually be good?

If I don't make the 13,333 list I may just buy Crackdown depending on the exact terms of the beta testing for H3. (A friend of mine that works at a game rental store can get me the game for 10% off and trade it back in for more than half of what I would pay for it.) I haven't researched enough of what the beta entails but so far it's a toss-up. I think the 20-30 bucks may be worth it but I would have to get a 360 to beta test. Which I didn't plan on doing until H3 actually comes out.

I was playing the demo in my housemate's room, and it actually was pretty fun. Your character can do some ridiculous things; it's one of those 'over the top' games where you just go kinda crazy. So, it may end up being a pretty fun purchase either way.
