Re: Counter Strike; Bad
I'm one of the few people that love online games but still have never played Counterstrike in my life. I don't even know how all that money stuff works.
I've been meaning to buy it for quite a while now. I thought it had more to it than two gametypes, but are the two that he's talking about fun? I plan to get it for the PC. Graphics aren't a problem. I got Diablo 2 in like 2004 or 2003 and I still loved the game. To this day I still don't know the real story of it besides the fact that there's some bad guys to kill, but I still love it.Comment

Re: Counter Strike; Bad
CS sucks for console. The PC versions, both 1.6 and Source (guess you can include Condition Zero but it's on the same engine as 1.6) are much better.
You don't have to continually pay to play counter-strike, just buy the game for $20 (for source). I'd say playing CS:S gets boring on regular servers, but then there's server mods (Zombie, Deathmatch, RPG) and many novelty maps which make the game more interesting.Comment

Re: Counter Strike; Bad
Well I went down to gamestop a couple days ago and blew of $7 on this stupid Xbox game. I played it for about half an hour and got sick of it. The game has no storyline, Bad graphics, short selection of weapons and armor, and 2 types of matches. I really think this game could recieve some Improvment (-.-) And to add it's only one player unless you play on Xbox Live!
Counter Strike, Two thumbs down. Worst game of the year!
its way better on pc just to tell you theres alot more stuff to do because its a constant maltiplayer and alot more weapons.kn8blade28

Re: Counter Strike; Bad
So, assuming I were to drop by Gamestop, could I just get CS:S without ever having played Counter Strike(the original)? Or is it like an expansion?
I ask this because I've seen source games end up as both expansions and normal games :/Comment

Oh, no. $7! What a travesty! You should go right back there and demand your money back for your refusal to acquire knowledge of a game before you bought it! Go! Re: Counter Strike; Bad
Just get Source. It's basically the same game but with better graphics. Well, they're changing stuff to make it more unique little by little, but it's still basically just the same game.So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.
Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =OComment

Re: Counter Strike; Bad
Because some of the guns behave better in 1.6. There's a lot less of the spray and pray victories that you see in Source. I'm very excited for ProMod, which will be incorporating all of the 1.6 rules with Source graphics.

Re: Counter Strike; Bad
I've still yet to play a game that even comes close to being more fun online than Socom 2 was. I know it is a console game, but it is by far better than any FPS on PC or Console in the online category.
I'll try CS I guess.Comment
