Got 76 finally. Got 13 HS. Found out I can take hits from GPW with HB (every hit I took there was less than 1600 and I have 1700+ with HB). Their attacks aren't even targeted to people. They're just like random spike things that come up through the ground. According to the level rules of leeching, I shouldn't be able to leech at GPW yet though. Then again, I shouldn't have been getting exp while partying on MDT either.

And since Tosh never saw the 4th job tip, here it is:


I'm not sure why I didn't get full exp from the two that I had just killed.

Anyways, plan to lvl to 25 today so I can get some new thief gear. It's probably best I get a brown bamboo hat, so that I have a good luk bonus =P

It takes about three seconds of thinking to figure out why.

If you've been in a party at a location with enemies 5 levels above you, you don't leech. Obvious. How do you get EXP then? You hit the enemy. Just attacking it is enough in a party, even if it's a Miss.

MDTs and GPWs are undead creatures. You are Healing the DK. Heal hits undead creatures.

Ohhhh.

Afro: They also only attack when facing left. When facing right, they just keep moving forward (I can't kb yet.. XD).

You can leech if you aren't within 5 if the other people in your party aren't the creatures level or higher. If even one is, you can't leech. The only way you'd get exp is from hitting them, but that's not nearly what you'd get from a leech (in regards to your attacking same ones as them). In a party with leeching, it's not split weird. It's either one or the other. So for me at vikings it's either 13xx or 5xx. If I couldn't leech, it'd be either some amount like say 12xx, 0, or some weird split one if we attacked the same monster (like as if you were ks'ing them, except they also get leech from your solo kills).

When I was level 92, there were friends who weren't 88 yet. We still partied and they could leech. That's because I wasn't 93, the viking's level. Hell, we even made a party that was all under 93 (right when viking parties started).

I don't know about that one Jason. I was 87 and couldn't leech in a Viking party. I was 88 and could.

It only depends on whether or not you've hit the enemy. It matters more for Priests because we DON'T hit the enemy. We just Heal. Unless the enemy is undead, we don't attack it because we'll die.

I got decent exp though. And I wasn't even hitting a lot of the time (ie I was focusing on just healing the DK and if I stayed back I didn't get hit).

Meh. You're probably right though. After all, DT/MDT better exp to HP ratio, so I could do less damage to them and get more exp for my effort. Then there's the +exp from healing 1k+ damage from the DK-- not a lot, but it would help.

Either way, I would like to mess around at GPW some time, even if I can't leech. Anyway, I can't even leech at DT I guess haha (unless I find a weaker DK psh).


PS do GPW do explosion damage like Jr. Effy? I noticed on one that I killed that it seemed to explode when I killed it.

GPWs are awesome EXP. A level 75 Priest can get about 30% an hour there depending on how fast the person you are partied with is killing.

And no, they do not do explosion damage. It's just how they die.

I do anywhere from 500 to 3,300.

I miss a lot haha. Why would my exp be that good?

PS it's not leeching if I'm getting exp from my own attack. Leeching is getting exp when you don't fight.

My range is a lot better when I use a weapon that actually has magic to it. Rescue tube is fail for good magic damage.
