    It seems possible...

    Dance factory automatically generates dance steps(sometimes inaccurately) when you enter in CD, but is there a software program(PC) that would do this for me? It gets really lengthy to do it myself with stepmania and getting the notes absolutely perfect. If we can take the coding from dance factory for automatically generating steps and apply it to a PC, the whole community of DDR/FFR/other crap would grow and we could probably download or create any song easily.

    From what I know, everyone does it by themselves. It'd be much less fun to even play it to have a computer do it, since, if they randomized it based on sets of arrows, it'd be crap, and if they always did the same thing based on how the song sounded, it'd also be crap.

      Yea, that's probably true. The generator in the game is decent for getting the notes right most of the time, so it would help. Then maybe edit the file in stepmania to clean it up a bit.
