    Xenogears

    After all these years I never was interested in playing it until a friend of mine lent it to me on friday. I havn't played more than 3 hours of it or so just exploring and getting familiar with the game itself and stuff. The game is awesome.

    I'm about to rent the Desert Buggy to go to the Ethos Headquarters for parts for the Gear. Awesome game.


    I was just wondering when I would be getting a weapon for Fei and perhaps a couple of tips on developing new Deathblows a little easier.

      Heh, the story hasn't even really begun yet. Things pick up after the desert cave.

      Fei has no weapons. Fun.

      The best way to learn Deathblows is to just mash X over and over. You gain DB exp for every attack you make, so just do a ton of weak ones. It'll probably help to learn some Deathblows in the cave.

      Watch out for the boss of the cave, he's pretty tough.

          All right thanks Moogy. I can't wait to play this game more I'll post little by little every little bit I go just to get a heads up of what I'll be up against.


          About the weapons thing for Fei, according the to useless instructions manual he has a sword at one point?

              A little update...

              Fought Bart and dropped into the Stalactite cave and finally ran into the old man who refuels and sells gear parts. I have upgraded all my stuff and recharged and what not. Around level 17-18 with Fei I believe and just a level or two behind with Bart.

                  Xenogears is by far the best game I have ever played. I've beaten it over 4-5 times. In terms of gameplay it has its shortcomings at points, but as far as story goes, there is nothing in the gaming industry that even comes close. If you like xenogears you should check out the xenosaga series afterwards.
                  While note directly connected to the xenogears universe (for legal reasons) it uses a lot of the same story elements and compliment eachother very well. The gameplay for the saga series does leave a lot to be desired though (battle systems are kind of boring and stages tend to drag on).
                  You'll definenetly need to play xenogears more than once to catch all of the plot. but well worth it
