    Deicide Online

It's a good game. It's in Open Beta, but the full game client is to be released soon, so that's good. It's basically another one of them fantasy MMO's where you train, and, well, do stuff. It's a good-quality game in my book, and I'm going to talk about it some.

When you start out on DeicideOnline, you start off with the following; a Small Sword, a Bow, and starting equipment. You also start off with Battle Flax equipment. Everything that you get in the beginning is practically worthless.

The interface is rather unoriginal if you catch my drift. In the top left corner is your HP and MP. The number represents your total level. As you level, you will slowly get increases in your HP and MP, depending on the skill you choose to level.

In the bottom right of your screen is the chatbox. It displays everything that is said/done in text. When you kill a monster, the chatbox tells you the amount of EXP you earned. When you pick up an item, thechatbox says that. When MAY decides to annoy you with another pointless message, the chatbox will say it. Oh, I forgot to mention, until lvl 10, you have to deal with a fairy that's just as annoying as Navi in Zelda, maybe even worse... ugh.

In the bottom, you can see your quick slots, and your EXP bar. The quick slots serve a very important purpose. It holds shortcuts to stuff. Basically just that. It's actually useful sometimes. Not to mention important... somewhat.

The EXP bar shows just how much EXP you have accumulated. When it completely fills, you gain a level in the skill you just leveled, and your total level is increased by one. When you die, you have a chance of losing EXP. As your G/E points get higher, the chances of losing EXP get lower and lower... I think.

Anyways, at the bottom left corner is four buttons. The first one is your character information. It tells you what your current status is... which is what the button says. It tells you your username, your total level, the levels in your skills, your Strength, Dexterity, and Intelligence, your attack range in your skills, and your G/E points.

If you're wondering what G/E points are, well they serve a purpose. When you kill a monster, you get a G/E point. When you PK someone, you lose a WHOLE BUNCH of G/E points, approximately 12,000 G/E points per kill. As your G/E points lower, you eventually are not able to shop from stores or use the warehouse, and your username eventually turns red. Also, you eventually are kept from being able to PK people.

The case is different in siege wars. Siege wars are basically wars between two guilds. During the siege wars, archers can go up to the castle wall and shoot arrows, while everyone else pushes to defend their honor. And as you defeat your opponents, you actually GAIN G/E points instead of losing them.

When you die, you are given two choices. You can choose either Town or Corpse. If you choose Town, you get warped to the nearest town. If you choose Corpse, you are allowed to wait and see if someone else can resurrect you, which requires an Resurrection Amulet. After an small amount of time, you get another request to either choose Town or Corpse. Eventually, you can be forced into choosing Town if noone bothers to resurrect you, which is most likely as I don't know anyone who has obtained an Resurrection Amulet.

Well, the second button in the bottom right is your inventory. It shows you everything you have currently in your inventory, your Shild, and your equips. This is also where you equip items. All classes can wear equips of different classes I think. In your inventory, you get 2 pages, each holding 20 slots. This means you get 40 slots to hold items. The inventory also shows your weight. When your weight reaches 80%, you won't be able to attack, and when your weight reaches 100%, you won't be able to hold anything else.

But, there's a way. In towns, you can look for a Warehouse NPC. These guys hold your items for you. There are 2 pages, and I think you get around 200 or so slots to hold items. And you need 50 Shild to withdraw items. That's a service fee. Anyways, anything you desperately want to keep can be held in your warehouse. Also, your warehouse has a Trade Map button. Clicking this button takes you to Barter Square, which is simply known as Barter. Here, the majority of people on DeicideOnline have their UserShops open to other people.

The third button in the bottom right is your skills. It shows skils you have learned, and is also where you can use the majority of the options you can use on DeicideOnline. There are four buttons in the top, which says Close, Ranged, Dark, and White. Each of these will hold skills that you have learned. To learn a skill, you need to get the matching scroll, and use the scroll to learn that skill. You always have to have your primary skill level to be the appropiate level in order to learn the skill, and you can obtain scrolls by visiting the Scroll NPC.

Not only do Scroll NPC's hold scrolls, they hold teleportation scrolls, which can teleport you to other towns, and Potions, which you can use. There are small, medium, and large potions for both HP and MP.

The fourth and final button in the bottom left is the Options menu. It will open up a small menu with three options. You can choose Help, Sound, or Exit Game. Help opens up a help keyboard which shows all the shortcuts that letters represent. Sound opens up a menu, which basically allows you to change the sound. Finally, Exiit Game opens a prompt asking if you want to ExitGame, or Restart. ExitGame exits the game completely, and Restart returns you to the Character Select screen.

There are two more shop NPC's you can find. They are the armor and weapons NPC's. One sells armor, one sells weapons. The NPC holding a hammer upon his shoulder should be the armor NPC. The one holding a sword and hammering it should be the weapons NPC. They both distribute armor and weaponry that you can use. In Vail, they distribute rank 1 equips, in Mohas they distribute rank 2 items, and so on. If you want to get a better item, try seeing these people.

There are various types of weapons that the classes have to choose from. For example, warriors have a varietic choice between knives, swords, two-handed swords, axes, maces, and spears/polearms.

Archers can choose between three different types of bows; shortbows, longbows, and crossbows (which were recently added BTW). Shortbows are short-range bows. They are very fast, but have the least range and attack power of its kind. However, it does make up for its great speed.

Longbows are long-range bows. They reach farther than shortbows, but have a slower speed than shortbows. But that is made up by the longbows' incredible attack power.

Finally, Crossbows. They are between both shortbows and longbows. They have average range, average speed, and average attack power. These are good for those that want to have an overall average archer.

Sadly, mages only get staffs. But they have various and cunning designs. Staffs are the weapons that amplify an mages' magic attack power. Along with attack power, you will see along with a staffs' stats will be "magic attack". This shows how much an increase of strength you will get in your magic attacks.

Armor for the classes are made specifically for their type. Archers get light equipment that allow them to have more agility and speed, without losing much defense. Mages get very light equipment that doesn't provide much defense, but helps amplify magic attacks even more. Finally, Warriors get them usual heavy armor that gives them alot of defense.

The weapon NPC will also enchant your items. For the enchanting, you need the weapon you want to enchant, and an enchant card. You need an Armor Enchant Card for enchanting armor, and you need an Weapon Enchant Card for enchanting weapons. When you enchant, you will either fail or succeed. If you fail, you will get in return a -1 or -2 weapon, or you will lose your item completely.

If you succeed, you will see a +1 beside the name of the item you just enchanted. Enchanted items provide more defense and such to the wearers.

If you need EVEN MORE help, check the official DeicideOnline forum for help. Here's some screenies of me training my warrior. Yes I have a warrior.

      Re: Deicide Online

One, i'm on Vail, which is the ONLY server that's usable as of now. Two, I'm an archer too, and I'm lvl 15. >_>

Also, I wanna add that this game is in OPEN BETA. It's GOING to have bugs. And I can tell you that it's GOING to have quests eventually. And I also think soon helmets will be added, then maybe some changes to text, graphics, game mechanics, etc., will be soon added.

DeicideOnline is in Open Beta. It has a possibility of being MUCH better once the complete, full game client is released. Hey, it may surpass all the games as the 2006 MMORPG of the Year. Only time will tell....

              What's your character's name, IAAW?

                  Re: Deicide Online

I'll give this a chance I guess. Gonna download/play it now. I needed something else apart from all the advance wars, pokemon gold, and yoshi's island I've been playing.

Most likely will make an archer, as bows are awesome, and in any FPS I was always a sniper, and in most RPG's/MMO's the only way to replicate a sniper rifle is through a bow.

EDIT: 549mb, heh, nice. Well I guess I'm waiting 25 minutes and then playing it.

EDIFY: Oh and reading up, depending on what classes/weapons there are I may become an archer/assassin or some sort of stealth-hybrid ranger thing.

I'll check this out, even though I don't really like how the graphics are made. I mean not that they're no good, but that I just don't likw how they look. myself.

I'll most likely be a pure warrior, since they generally do the most damage, and are easiest to start out with in most games. Odds are rangers are decent in damage, but I'm not too much of a ranged person unless it's with a gun.
