It was called The Guardian Legend and it was for the original NES. Seriously I remember playing this game and every boss for it I absolutly loved the game. You were the last member of your race and you had to blow up this rouge vessal called Naju carrying all these aliens to save earth. You walked around sort of like zelda and when you entered the equivalent of a zelda "dungeon" you would kinda morph into a ship. secondary weapons were powerd by "Chips". If anyone remebers this game what did you think of it? For those who haven't heard of it but have the capability of getting it i would advise you try to. It was seriously awesome.

EDIT: That speed run was not as impressive as I thought it was going to be. In fact, it seems relatively easy to do that. Yeah I'm with ckj, I watched the video and it pretty much bored me, to even play the game would probably bore me too, but then it doesn't look like my sort of game, reminds me too much of Sigma Star Saga.Comment

Nice find Tass. Thats the game.
Its not as easy as he made it look. Hell, for all we know he used an emulator like the Super Mario Bros 3 one. Some of the solutions to open up the locks were hard to figure out and the red boss (called grimgrin) is sick nasty to fight. cause ur always dodging.
In defense of the vid cause i see some negativity. Would watching A speed run of a zelda game be fun? not really but the gameplay involved in playing it rocks.

PLEASE do not insult the runners of SDA by accusing them of using emulators. Every run on SDA is reviewed/approved by at least 1 other person who has beaten the game to insure authenticity... and the guy who captures the files into the high-quality files checks as best as he can to see if they are emulator runs (from my knowledge, it is not THAT hard to tell the difference).Hell, for all we know he used an emulator like the Super Mario Bros 3 one.RIPComment
