You guys have seen the line in my sig: 30.sittinginmygarage%. The Giant NES Controller, 4 feet long by whatever-other-dimesions-that-I-don't-recall is a project in development, and work will resume within the next few weeks. I didn't take much time in the past few months to work on it simply because of school and weather. Those problems are nearly gone, so soon enough, it will ever approach completion.
The basic cuts and dimensions have been completed. All that's needed is a paint job (all that's been done so far is white), and buttons. Let me stress that this is not simply a visual replica; this thing will be an acutal working Nintendo Entertainment System controller. I still need to order springs and snap-action switches, but I have a good idea of what I need, so that's not a problem. A member of the team has some expertise in soldering and other things, so that's taken care of. You might know him; he did put an NES in an XBox, after all. The only thing I need is material for the actual physical button. Shouldn't be to hard to find/make something, though. I mean, the shell is pretty much complete.
I took these pictures today. Unfortunately, I don't have the whole team in any of the pictures because no actual work occurred today. The team consists of 6 members including myself.
Picture time!

Proof that this isn't something I'm stealing from somewhere else:

Yes, I do realize the paint job does look pretty bad on the front. But, it's only painted white where it's needed. The rest of the paint will be taken care of not long from now.
Keep your eyes on the thread for notes, updates, and eventually see the final product!
