    Re: Nuclear Launch Detected

Pick up The First Decade. 30-40 bucks... is 1 DVD with ALL the C&C games on it, from Tiberium Dawn thru the Generals Expansion. And it runs on XP fairly well.

And, the whole point of C&C (never played SC or WC) is that by missions 9 or 10, you really have to have a good strategy, or you'll get crushed. Levels with minimal amounts of ore, levels where you're getting attacked and overpowered right from the start and constantly, etc etc. STRATEGY. And even the early-mid levels take a bit of thought... things like needing to attack through a back entrance, or using stealth vs just making a massive army and attacking with 75 tanks.

Answer to the first question is Al Daris.

Kerrigan let Zeratul live in the ninth BW mission after he had to sacrifice raszagal. I dunno if thats the same as saving him though. If not ill have to think a lil harder.

As for Battle Net. Yeah I play a lot but i haven't played mellee for about 3 years. I've been playing a lot of UMS games. If you want to battle im more than up for it but im likely to be teh suck cause im really rusty.

Second question is Fenix and/or Jimmy Raynor. First mission they stay behind and keep the gate open and clear from the hoarde that is Zerg, to allow them to get to the other side in one peice saving zeratul and his little tribe.

I play lots of UMS nowadays too... but yeah if you ever wanna play me x-Melancholy-x is my tag. And I think that was his name... It was that one stupid high templar you had to kill in the original(I think?) where he stole your ability to make archons... and you finally get dark archons... I'm really tired today. leave my stupidity alone! ARGH lmao

Its Brood War when you finally get Dark Archons. They wernt avalible units in the original. and that was the seventh toss mission tagged the insurget or something

For the second one does that count as saving them? They just really held the zerg from coming from the warp gate. Which was a failure anyway cause the zerg were already on the planet

Ive got the same tag on brood war look me up sometime

Still that guys was a traitor!!! And yes that counts as saving cause if they didn't stall the zerg at the gate imagine the flow of zerg filing in and kill our fav DT. I'd rather kill a growing base then a base with an army. Meh I'll research the first question again...

What server are you on? I'm on USEast 98% of the time.

                    Re: Nuclear Launch Detected

                    1) Whoever said that SC took less thinking than original C&C games: rofl idiot. -Craft games are about smaller armies and micromanagement, C&C games are about economics, build order, and MASSING TANKS. I like C&C because that is easier so I don't suck as much at it.
                    2) Generals was NOT C&C. EA just stuck the C&C name on it to sell more copies.
                    3) C&C: Tiberium Wars will have a 3rd side. Last time I checked, EA still won't release who it is. Might be the mutants from Tiberian Sun or the aliens that brought tiberium to Earth. *shrug*
                    4) And as for the campaigns being hard in C&C....if I remember correctly, the SC/WC2 games (around the same generation as old C&C games...all the new ones are piss easy) were just as hard if not harder than the C&C ones. Also, any Nod mission where you could either 1) build obelisks or 2) had stealth tanks were piss easy. The sandbag trick was rofl (build a line of sandbags to the enemy's base then build an obelisk at the end and have it rape their base), and I clearly remember one mission where I put a stealth tank in the back of their base and shot until I saw them coming, then I'd let it cloak again and their units would just walk away. I kept this up until everything in the back was dead. Easy as hell.
                    5) Seth: Let's attack America!
                    Kane: *shoots Seth* You're fired.
                    Me: rofl rofl rofl
                    6) Until C&C gets UMS maps, -Craft games will ALWAYS have something over C&C games. I love C&C's gameplay, but I love UMS maps.
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(

In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.

So now I'm on Twitter @NoahWright.
And I write the blog for their website.

Plus I do cool programming in-house that you'll never see. =O

Has anyone else heard news of the World of Starcraft style game they're thinking of making? I think it would turn out somewhat similar to auto assault.

Starcraft is old and boring. It was great when it came out but that was.... 7 years ago? Try elder scrolls oblivion or big red one.

also, ghost has been indefinitely postponed, and has been for a couple (maybe just one?) months now.

I liked StarCraft. It's one of those games that never gets old if you take breaks from it. I played UMS games on it all the time. I pwned Evolves, hands down. It had more diversity than C&C but I still likie C&C more. SC is harder I think, there's few missions in any C&C where a massive army won't win. In RA2 for instance, which I'm playing right now, the Soviets practically always win hands down if you know how. Power Plant<Ore Refinery<Barracks<War Factory<Radar<Battle Tower<Nuclear Power Plant<Cloning Vats. Seriously, cloning vats=t3h win. I don't build defenses, I build massive amounts of infantry. It's quicker defense too. Riflemen are dirt cheap at $100 a piece, with cloning vats it's two for one if you didn't know. So I'd make dozens and dozens of infantry, then flack troopers for air. I'm usually Iraq so I get the Desolators. Those too=t3h win. Instant infantry kills and if you situate enough of them within the enemy base and deploy their radiation the enemy can't build any units without them exploding or melting instantly. pillbox > desolator.

Oh and an actual tesla coil wouldn't work unless the enemy went around wearing armour made out of strong magnets.

Starcraft:Ghost has been indefinitely postponed and/or put off (as already stated) and is rumoured by Blizzard that it will be for next-gen consoles (PS3, 360, Wii), but i'm not sure which.

The game has been pushed back so many times, it'll be a cold day in hell before it's EVER released, to be honest with you.
