My friend installed it on my computer and let me see what it was like, but I found it quite boring. I just couldn't get into it no matter how hard I tried.
I have it. It's a really fun game to me. I quickly learnt that level 20 wasn't the end of the adventure but the beginning. I just finished the ring of fire.
Suposedly, it's free. But tell me, is it worth the download/disk space? For I keep seeing people playing it on XFire for disturbingly long amounts of time.
It's free in terms of monthly fees. You have to buy the game, and they plan on releasing expansions every 6 months.
As for if it's worth it, I can't tell you what to think of it. It's your opinion, and your disk space. I personally feel that it was worthy of my money, though. If you like PVP and RPG's with a minimal level 'grind,' then chances are you'll like it.
Star Shot it takes up about 1GB space.
I was surprised about the whole level 20 think being as I got to level 20 in about 4 days and was slightly worried about it. But I found out I was only half way through the story and there was still lots to do.
Now tell me, how does it play? I hear it's more about skill, but how so? If it's like Diablo II (you have to aim, unlike WoW) then I may seriously consider getting it. If the combat is just like other MMORPGs I won't even think about getting it.
And dude, you could start an FFR guild! =O
So I've gone completely slack-ass and haven't done any work on creating games. =(
In less-depressing news, I got a job for an online business (which sells non-electronic games, of all things!) which has taught me a lot about marketing online and all that jazz.
It plays like most other RPG's (not saying MMORPG since it isn't). You know, mostly clicking and spam hotkeys.
The difference between this and other MMORPG's, though, is the fact that it's so sickenly balanced that if you're stupid and just do whatever the hell you feel like, you will be killed very quickly. Even with the best gear in game, you will get mauled in seconds by another person that knows what he/she's doing in crap equip.
Early on I heard it was gonna be a lot like Diablo because you had to actually try some. Regular RPG combat is so lame. D=
