Yeah. Mario Kart DS is supposedly going to be the first game to use it. The network will be free to DS owners. And I'm not sure when it's supposedly coming out, but I'll edit it in later.

EDIT: couldn't find when the network's release date supposedly is..

According to an interview with a nintendo representative (I can't remember which but it was on gamespot.com) most DS games released in Q4 of this year will be online enabled if they have multiplayer capabilities, this includes Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing DS, and any others released at that time. Metroid prime hunters will not be online and advance wars DS probably won't either.

I hope you weren't serious. This is referring to the 'tunnelling' software, which was an April's fool joke (evidently), but it was always rumored to be 3rd party. DS online is happening, and best guess is Q4 '05

nope, sorry...Nintendo certainly hasn't said anything about it too specifically...But I'm pretty sure it'll be much like x-box live...but free

I read that Nintendo was teaming up with GameSpy. Did anybody else hear anything about this?

update:you are going to have to go to "hot-spots" to play it online, any idear what that means?
