Holy crap! I just went out and rented it and my GOD, it is MUCH harder than the first two. Seriously i played the third level like 5 times before i beat it. Its really awesome and Dante is one of the coolest characters ever but its ridiculous how unforgiving it gets!

Its not that much harder than the others. True it is a lot tougher but the way you put it it sounded like there was like 20 people 50x stronger than Dante in one room. Thought the game kicked major ass though.

The enemies aren't so hard (usually) its the f*cking bosses! It's rediculous! You only need to get hit like 5 times and you die. Not to mention life gets more expensive each time you buy it! Its fun but holy crap, i'd like to see whats past the 5th level (stupid flying blood bats).

Well I finally got past the 5th level, it doesnt get any easier though... I almost killed the boss of the 6th level on my first try! Keyword: almost.

If you can beat viewitful joe (like me) this game is very enjoyable because the challenge will be there but it's not a "OMFG I CAN'T BEAT THIS F****** GAME!!!!!!"

I hate games like that. But this game seems to me like viewtiful joe 3-d with guns. Not that that's a bad thing mind you but I played through the first couple levels at an electronics boutique where they had the full version playable. Good stuff, nice atmosphere responsive controls, plenty of stuff to maim, just a little too easy on easy for me though (made it to the third level boss before actually taking damage, before I would get hit by one weak guy but then the next guy I killed would drop something to heal me).

I give it an 8/10 mostly because there were some minor camera problems in my opinion and the big difficulty balancing problem, plus some of the dialouge is just painfully cheesy.

Well it is getting much easier now that i have some actual equipment and some usefull moves. Cerberus is now officially my bitch and i got through the 6th and 7th levels without dying.

Its one of the best games I have played. Virgil is hard the last time you fight him because of his gay devil trigger. But I give the game 9.5/10. The cutscenes cant get better than this.

Agreed, the only cutscenes I've ever seen that were better was in Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes. Those pwned...

If you think the bosses are hard in Devil May Cry 3, prepare to get pissed. Later in the game there's a mission where you're supposed to fight about 6 or 7 of them again (like the megaman games). Oh yes, it pissed me off and caused me to stop playing, especially because healing items cost about 1000000000 orbs each, and you can hardly find any laying around in the levels. I put it on easy and it upset me. I wonder what Dante Must Die mode is like...

I never bought any healing items from the statues cause I know I will need them more later on. I seriously hope you don't have to go back to the beginning after you die in the consecutive battles with the bosses.

I really want this game. I enjoy games that are almost OMGWTF hard. Ninja Gaiden was a good example, that game rocked. Unfortunately this game is sold out everywhere, and even if it wasn't, I am short on moneys as of now.
