This game is

FUCKING

AMAZING

I just sat through FIVE HOURS of (almost) non-stop play, and its ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY AWESOME^9999999999.

The character depth and development is insane.

The gr4fx are insane.

The way everything comes together to answer questions after the first one is insane.

The new skill system is insane (although some people don't like it....but it pulled an FF8 and completly changed pace after its prequel XD but FF8 owned...noobs.)

It was good, but in my opinion, they overdid all of the old systems and suffered from the same problem that DMC did. Both DMC1 and Xenosaga Ep. 1 were good games. But thier sequels, DMC 2 and Xenosaga Ep. 2 dropped the ball in the same ways. So, the game is good, but only for a rental in my opinion.

I want to play Xenosaga 1, and Xenosaga 2.

But I know they will never match up to Xenogears.

I heard that it sucked o_O

Other people said that the voices are horrible, and they've all been replaced with new voices. They did a horrible job of getting the voices to sychronize with the lip movements.

That's all I know about it, I'll take your word that it's amazing and I'll buy it as soon as possible.

I hate the new look of the characters but if the story is well told then I'll still play it for many hours and watch all the long cutscenes. I think I'll start making the popcorn right now.

Yeah, the lip sync is really bad...but it was made for Japanese lip movement so whatever. The new voices are _INCREDIBLY_ bad. Most of them, anyway...Albedo is still fucking amazing.

It's kinda hit or miss though, it has more cut scenes than the first game, but it's way harder (some parts, at least), and the skill system is great in my opinion, but most people hate it (kinda like the transition between Final Fantasy 7 and Final Fantasy 8, because 8 owned and 7 sucked sorry guys.)

But yeah, if you liked the first one pick up the second. I like 'em both more than 'Gears but 'Gears still owned my socks.
