Inside Call of Duty, it's really hard to kill someone with melee attacks. It takes more than one hit, and considering everyone at least has a pistol that can take you out at a short distance... yeah, not an easy thing to do.
Especially with artillery binoluars, because you run realllllllly slow with them. So much so, that instead of a little fist symbol when you kill someone with them, it says OWNED!!
