I got it this morning at around 4:00am...

Fucking awesome.

It's difficult, it's scary, it reminds me of oldschool Doom. Lighting and shadows are awesome..

Maybe tonight I'll play it on cam in the FFRchat..

Runs on my computer pretty goddamn smooth.

I just got it, and it's great. So far the multiplayer sucks, but mods should come out for it eventually. The single player's just extremely immersive. You have to take it slow to really enjoy it, but it's so worth it.

Ok, You have to do the Doom 3 tweaks. YOU HAVE TO.

I was lagging at Low Quality on like 600x480.. I tweaked it.. unpacked the pak's and changed some things in the cfg file and I was playing at Medium at 1024xWhateverItIs... Now I'm running it at High Quality at 800x600..

Yeah. Like, I found I was really lagging with advanced shadows on, but after I turned those and specular off I can run it at 1024x768 at Med textures and some settings enabled just fine. Also, the ONE KEY THING you MUST have enabled for the game to look Doomy and crisp is bumpmapping. The game looks like absolute crap otherwise.

Notice any difference with those off? I heard about turning those off but that sounds like it would degrade the quality of the graphics.. which isn't what I'm looking to do..

I love Nickadeemus.

Seriously. That boosted my framerate tenfold, I can run it on 1024x768 with Textures on High and all settings enabled except for Shadows and FSAA. DO IT NOW. You won't believe the results.
