FF7 Rocks da House!

Final Fantasy 7 is not only the best FF game, it's the best game period. Even now the graphics are pretty good and the storyline is untouchable. But I think the best part of it is the way they made the characters and how they interact throughout the game. Aeris saves the world even after she dies! That's devoted. In short, there's no beating the best!

I stopped half way through FF7, it has NO story. First theres some pissed guy the goes and wear a dress to sneak into this party thing then he's in this pointless gold tower then you finally notice he's been stalking his gay friend, Sephiroth, and then you kill him and then you win. As for graphics, Star Fox 64 has better graphics, and Star Fox 64 was made in, what, 1996 or something. Get a life.

FF7 was okay, but after you beat it, it gets incredibly boring... but yeah, it was a pretty good FF game.

FFVII doesn't have the best graphics ever. In fact, all the FF games made for PS1 all have pretty lame graphics. They may have been top of the line when they were made, but right now...they stink....compared to FFX.

My favorite of the FF games that I've played so far is FFX. It has a pretty awesome plot with amazing graphics.

As the President of the Anti-FF7 Fanboy Patrol, I feel I must make a few replies here.

FF7's storyline was basically the same as Final Fantasy 6, but more anime-ized. You've got an evil corperation that's basically destroying the world in FF7 as opposed to an evil Empire that is trying to rule the world and destroys it in the process. Instead of real, genuine writing, though, they made the game full of cheesy dialogue. It's almost as though they were sitting around an elementary playground when they got inspiration for the dialogue sequences.

The graphics weren't even that good for their day, also. It just happened to be one of the first polygonal RPG games, so everyone went hog-wild about it. Their arms were BLOCKS, in the literal sense. Giant 6-sided objects that changed colors about halfway down to signify gloves. Whoopty-f@#$in'-doo. In battle graphics were mediocre at best. The CG work was nice, but then again, CG work almost always is in every game that utilizes it. It's also not playable. So I don't care. Graphics never make a game, anyway.

The characters themselves are just plain stupid. Cloud is the biggest poser I've ever seen in my life. He reminds me all the retarded kids I knew in high school that went all bizarre on everyone to try to get attention. Sephiroth is just... wow. Lame. "I've stolen Alucard's style and have an EVEN BIGGER SWORD THAN YOU DO, hence making me cool." Riiiiiiiight. I shall pass. Tifa is yet another testament to Square's play at the fanboy, by making a cute, spunky chick with overly enourmous boobs and a tight waist. Cait Sith is just.. no explaining need be done there. Barret is Mr. T with chain gun arm. The only guy I liked was Cid, because he was simple. Just a crusty hick that can fly planes. Oh, and Vincent, because he didn't really have or need a story, being a "secret" character and all.

The materia system destroyed all that was holy in Final Fantasy games. It made every character carbon clones of each other, barring limit breaks. There is no reason to use one person over another because you can equip them with the same skills.

FF7 is the best FF. Sure the graphics are crap, but who really cares about graphics if you like the storyline. I'm not saying it's the best but I liked it. And Deston, this isn't the place, it's full of haters.

I don't really care what anyone else thinks. I like this game and it's my favorite. I made this so I could find out what other people liked and why, not to listen to them make fun of stuff that I like so unless you're gonna write something good, get out.
Oh and by the way the graphics may not be top of the line but graphics don't make a game.

I haven't played FF7 in a loooooong time, so I can't make the judgement call. I thought it was pure awesome when I first played it, but it was my first FF game. Since then I've started moving away from RPGs, though, so I doubt I'll ever play it again.
