    Katamari Reroll

    Thoughts/opinions???

Bit of a shame it got released the same day as Smash and got kinda overshadowed

    My thoughts:
It seems easier than the original and the king doesn't yell at you as harshly

I don't love using the Switch controllers even when they are in the controller dock. I think I would have rather gotten it on PC so I can use a regular PS controller

I wish they had fixed a few things with the physics but it seems like they left the game completely as-is. There are a few spots it's really easy to get stuck, and it's impossible to get out if you're too big, which are still the exact same

It does look really nice in HD

Anyways even though it's just Katamari Damacy I plan on also buying it for PC in the hopes that throwing money at them will encourage them to remaster We <3 Katamari or possibly even... make a new one

It's pretty much a port, and i'm a little bit *eyebrow raised* that they didn't really specify that, instead giving it a full new title "reroll"

but it's still katamari, and it's better in that you don't get ultra lag spikes as you transition into larger sizes, so it's not as much of an LSD trip. it looks amazing though, and also agree that it's hard to play while the joycons are docked on the switch. pro controller felt fine though - i'm unsure how they'd transition the unique movement system that katamari uses into a pc format though, wasd+arrow keys feels like it'd be less precise and worse

I agree, I already knew what it was but for other people it's probably confusing. I also didn't like how they specified it has 2P mode as if it was a new feature, but it's actually just the same weird single-level 2P mode from the original. Kinda misleading

Oh I don't think it'd be possible, you'd need to have a controller to use with your PC

Loved the original. Will probably get it on Steam when it goes on sale because 40 bucks seems a bit steep for me.

i actually ended up picking up this game a couple days ago and it's the first katamari game i've played. i'm having a blast with it and i love how goofy everything is!! i wish i got into the series sooner

i totally agree about the joycon thing for the switch version though. the game (and really a lot of games on switch in general) just isn't very comfy to play when using those and this game is basically unplayable in handheld mode, but i've been playing it docked with an external controller most of the time. i'll have to give motion controls a shot though! the issues with the physics and getting stuck in places here and there does suck to deal with sometimes but i can put that past me for the most part

the soundtrack is so great... everything is catchy and i expected no less because i've heard a few of the tracks before and enjoyed them a lot

very charming game overall and i'm glad i picked it up
