Once in a while there will be those games you don't hear about but they're awesome. Like Beyond Good & Evil..
I was looking through the internet and I found Fatal Frame II and it was getting a bunch of good ratings but I had never heard of or seen the game before. I went to the store and bought it at $41.25 used (It was worth it but I thought the price would be lower) and I got home and started playing it..
It's just.. awesome.. There's so much detail in every room and in every object. Little things start moving in the rooms.. Even if you've been in the room a million times all of a sudden this time when you enter the room a board falls from the ceiling. There's eerie sounds.. People speaking or whispers comming from no where. Sounds that the ghosts make..
At least rent the game.
I just beat it again today for the second day in a row. I beat it the first time around 10 hours and I unlocked hard mode. Anyway, you get a different ending when you beat it on hard mode. So I beat it again today at around 4 hours. Both endings are really cool and satisfying. There's so much that gets unlocked too. You also get new camera functions unlocked when you beat the game each time..
When you beat the game the first time you get costumes, hard mode, and mission mode. When you beat it again you unlock image galleries, Nightmare mode, costumes, and the option to watch either ending in the gallery.
There's so much more too.. like there's books just lying around like in resident evil.. but they give clues and tell you the story and they're not completely useless and hella boring like in Resident Evil.. non-hostile ghosts that jump out or whatever when you take their picture..
Sorry I went on.. Anyone else play it? Give it a rent this weekend if you haven't.
