Anyone else had the chance to play Rumble yet? Thoughts?

Imo I think it's a neat addition to the game. Took a couple of matches to understand what all the effects are though. That spikey ball power-up is OP, probs gonna get nerfed.

Also, champ crates. Anyone got one yet?

Opened my first one just before and got a certified rare decal

Pretty hilarious IMO.

You get a dope set of players then man, that fucking overtime can break a clock. The sheer randomness of the powerups ensures that no one has a skill based game and it's absolute carnage.

It's completely unpredictable but I think that's what I like most about it.

It's pretty fun.

Spike seriously either needs to go or nerfed so that other powerups can disrupt it (like power glove, plunger, ice, grappling hook.)

Or hell, make the driver slower so the max boost speed is the same as normal speed. Like once I see it deployed, nothing can stop it unless you have a boot kick or just get really good at judging how the guy is going to rotate the ball as he aerials.

guy looks like he was straight up ballchasing. on the same side of the ball as all 3 orange players, and further away from it, and decides not going straight back to goal is the best option

also his aerial at the beginning sucked

Seems more of a shot of faith than anything. Because if that guy were to position the ball where the plunger would pull to his front, then it would've still gone in.

Haven't checked out Rumble yet but I did get a Champ crate with shows two car bodies and Pixel Fire boost in there besides the other 9 items and I want to open it but can't haha.

Just be prepared for RNG if you do open it. All the things you see inside the crate don't are just possibilities.

Starting to have second thoughts on the crates. I thought they were "okay" but now that I know it's all RNG'd upon opening. Eeeeeeh... seems kind of silly and slightly scummy.

If only because the crates contain DLC cars, haha.

But idk, I think the crate thing should mostly for cosmetics and not for DLC cars is all, lol.

it's cool that you can unlock cars in crates now imo, idk how that's scummy or anything
esp. since those cars are functionally identical to the existing cars that they're based off of

Oh, I read somewhere like... I guess 8AM that the cars in the crates had different hitboxes and whatnot.

Looks like that's been debunked. Okay, never mind the scummy part, lol.

Rumble mode is hella fun. Basically makes you play more offensive or defensive based off the power-up you get (at least in higher tier playing).

Side-note: Season 1 'Gold III', Season 2 'Superstar' (Superstar before they added super and grand champion ranks).

Regardless, game is super fun.
